Keep an eye out for Eastern Water Dragons basking in the sun as you walk from Manly to Shelly Beach or the shy Echidnas among the low-lying bush.
If marine life is on your list, head to Cabbage Tree Bay Aquatic Reserve at the southern end of Manly Beach. More than 160 species of fish have been recorded in the Reserve. Exotic giant cuttlefish, sea dragons, blue gropers just to name a few.
If you head to the harbour inlets of Manly, you may spot a rare species of water dragon or catch a glimpse of our family of penguins.
